Was the Depot in New or Old Augusta?

While browsing around for some history on the dummy line, I came across an article about the old rail depot in Augusta.

The author of the original article appears to be a woman from Searcy, a real estate agent named Barbara Duncan. Duncan mentions that "New Augusta" is written on the photo of the depot, but she states that she's never heard of a place called New Augusta, though she knows of Augusta in Woodruff County. Duncan asks the question about whether or not Augusta has ever been known as New Augusta. It never dawned on me that this may be of question, but now that it is, we're going to start investigating and doing some research on the different sections of town.

So what do you think? Do you have any information on New Augusta?
